AV Technology's remote high resolution BridgeCheck digital imaging system is one of the most effective and efficient systems for monitoring cracks and movement in bridges and structures. BridgeCheck is a proven solution for structural monitoring and has even been used in the Nuclear Industry to monitor cracks in concrete structures, where direct access to install conventional sensors is impossible.
Suitable for short, medium and long term monitoring, BridgeCheck offers a number of operational advantages, including health and safety issues associated with access to the structure. The system can be installed quickly and monitoring can be carried out up to 500 metres from the structure, with accuracies of ±0.5 mm being achievable at this distance. According to AVT, the BridgeCheck system is particularly suitable for monitoring older type masonry and steel bridges
AVT have extensive experience in all aspects of structural monitoring, working closely with Councils, Structural Engineers and Civil Engineering Contractors. Their engineers have developed specific data acquisition systems for data collection from a wide range of measuring sensors including linear displacement sensors, accelerometers, tilt sensors, acoustic emission sensors and strain gauges. Other associated techniques include geodetic monitoring and ground vibration monitoring. Special remote wireless sensor systems developed by AVT facilitate data collection and analysis. Data is presented to clients in a clear and concise manner, allowing risk assessment decisions to be taken as appropriate.
